Our story
Since October 2015,in the heart of Geulle.
We are Happy Days. A genuine neighbourhood chip shop on Hulserstraat. For ten years we have stood here six evenings a week, with the same fresh potatoes and the same guests who return every Friday.
Started with a simple idea
In the autumn of 2015 we opened Cafetaria Happy Days in Hulsen-Oostbroek. Geulle needed a good chip shop that served fresh chips, charged honest prices and did not change owners every other year. That is what we have been doing since day one.
Fresh potatoes, no shortcuts
Our chips are made from Limburg potatoes that we cut on the premises ourselves. Twice fried, the first time at low temperature to cook the potato through, the second time hotter to crisp the outside golden brown. No mystery, just discipline.
The terrace as a meeting place
On summer evenings the terrace fills with cyclists fresh off the Maaspad, families finishing their walk around Geulle, and neighbours catching up. That is exactly how a neighbourhood chip shop should feel.
What guests can expect from us
We promise no more than we can deliver. Fresh chips within fifteen minutes of ordering, generous portions, fair prices and a warm welcome. No marketing talk, just good food in a pleasant setting.
